Q4 2026 Amazon replenishment: backup stock, prep and receiving handovers
Use Amazon’s 2026 US peak guidance to distinguish AWD, third-party reserve stock and FBA receiving, then confirm prep and every release decision.

Amazon’s Q4 2026 playbook applies to selling in the United States. For Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday, it lists arrival dates of October 14 for AWD shipments, October 21 for FBA minimal shipment splits and October 28 for FBA Amazon-optimized shipment splits. Check the live playbook and the shipment option available to your account before planning against one of those dates.
These are Amazon receiving targets, not China departure dates or a third-party warehouse’s dispatch commitment. Work back through the preparation and transport needed for the actual goods. If an earlier stage cannot be confirmed, discuss the revised plan before treating your inventory as ready for the event.
| Shipment option | Black Friday and Cyber Monday arrival date |
|---|---|
| AWD shipments | October 14, 2026 |
| FBA minimal shipment splits | October 21, 2026 |
| FBA Amazon-optimized shipment splits | October 28, 2026 |
Keep third-party reserve, AWD and FBA stock distinct
A third-party warehouse reserve gives the merchant a separate place to hold and prepare goods. Record what is present, what is checked, what is held and what is authorised for replenishment. Physical reserve stock alone does not establish a change in your Amazon listing’s availability or a completed transfer into FBA.
Amazon describes AWD as its bulk-storage and distribution program with FBA replenishment. Its public page says products can be considered in stock and buyable on AWD receipt when auto-replenishment is enabled. That is an Amazon program condition to check for your account and goods; it should not be applied to a Jeton or other third-party reserve. Keep physical stock location and platform availability as separate fields.
Assign prep and item-label responsibility before the goods leave
Amazon’s US FBA Prep Service page says its prep and item-labeling services ended from January 1, 2026. It describes the change as applying to US FBA inventory, including inventory routed through AWD and other listed Amazon supply-chain services. Plan who will complete the required work before the FBA movement instead of assuming it will be done at arrival.
Use the current account and product instructions to approve the prep brief. Identify the actual sellable unit, item-label requirements, protective packing and carton labels for the created shipment. Confirm the provider’s handling scope and retain an approved sample or inspection record. A generic marketplace-prep description cannot establish compliance for a particular SKU.
Record the release authority and each receiving milestone
Our suggested replenishment record connects supplier readiness, Guangzhou receiving, the approved prep batch, international movement, US reserve receipt and the final Amazon shipment. Give each event its own reference, quantity, date and owner. A batch may be partly checked or partly received, so avoid one status for all units when the underlying records differ.
Specify who can approve a replenishment quantity and how that approval identifies the version of the SKU list. Confirm the receiving destination from the actual shipment plan, transport arrangement and any required appointment. Keep the expected delivery, physical delivery and subsequent receiving result distinct, then reconcile the quantity against the latest records.
| Field | Decision it supports |
|---|---|
| Reserve quantity and check status | Which units can be released now? |
| Reserved channel or purpose | Which units belong to this replenishment? |
| Approved prep version | Which unit and carton instructions apply? |
| Release owner and quantity | Who authorised this movement? |
| Actual shipment plan and destination | Where should these specific cartons go? |
| Delivery and receiving records | What has arrived, and which differences remain? |
Review demand and exceptions without choosing one stock rule for every seller
Use recent SKU-level demand, planned promotions, available quantities and observed replenishment timing to review the next release. Keep forecast demand distinguishable from confirmed orders. A suggested release quantity should also account for held units and stock allocated to other channels, rather than counting every carton at a location as available.
Test a hypothetical case in which one carton is held for a label correction while the rest of the batch is approved. Decide whether to wait, release an authorised subset or create a revised shipment under the account’s actual options. Record who owns the platform change and customer consequences. This makes the contingency concrete without promising that extra inventory or an alternate route will always be available.
Bring the backup-stock brief to the US warehouse discussion
Share the SKU list, actual goods location, account shipment instructions, target receiving date, packed quantities and the replenishment work you want reviewed. For Jeton Express, confirm separately the Guangzhou preparation and US partner warehouse stage, including the actual receiving address and the authority to release stored stock.
Agree how discrepancies, rejected instructions and late approvals will be reported. Keep the merchant’s Amazon account decisions with the merchant, while naming the operational contact for the warehouse and transport records. The useful outcome is a scoped replenishment plan that explains which goods can move and what evidence confirms the next step.
