China–US logistics advisory & collaboration

Building on our established China–US logistics operations and commercial model, we welcome US-based logistics companies, industry organizations and universities to develop business cooperation, exchange experience and explore applied research.

Discuss a defined receiving, handover, fulfilment or returns question, then agree a review scope and practical next steps.

Collaboration opportunities

US-based logistics companies

Connect US parcel, forwarding, warehouse and fulfilment capabilities with our Guangzhou supplier receiving and China–US shipping operations.

Possible agreed outputs: A service scope and responsibility map, handover checklist and billing reconciliation plan.

Industry organizations & practitioners

Bring Chinese and US practitioners together to compare logistics operating practices and identify shared coordination needs.

Possible agreed outputs: An exchange agenda, documented operating observations and follow-up actions.

Universities & research teams

Connect logistics and supply-chain teaching or applied research with practical questions from cross-border operations.

Possible agreed outputs: A research question, data-requirements brief and case discussion or study proposal. Data access and publication arrangements are agreed per project.

Our operating model

A connected service chain, with direct postal parcels and US partner warehouse fulfilment as distinct operating options.

  1. China receiving & preparation

Receive supplier deliveries in Guangzhou, record quantities and carry out agreed consolidation, packing and export preparation.

    Operating role: Guangzhou operations team

  2. International transport & US handover

Connect the agreed international route with US customs-release coordination and handover to the selected postal or partner warehouse service.

Operating role: Agreed carriers & US shipping partner

  3. US delivery, fulfilment & returns

USPS provides the selected postal service after acceptance. A US partner warehouse supports local stock receiving, order fulfilment and authorised returns handling under the agreed scope.

Operating role: USPS & US partner warehouse

The carrier, importer, facilities, handover points, charges and operating records are confirmed for each project. US warehouse services are provided through partner facilities.

Define research questions and study scope around fulfilment efficiency, packaging, reverse logistics and the quality of cross-border operating records.

Useful starting information
Research question, unit of analysis and data fields your team would need.
Possible review output
A study outline identifying data needs, scope boundaries and proposed next steps.

Collaboration process

  1. Outline the opportunity

Share your organization and the question or opportunity you want to discuss.

  2. Define the scope

Agree responsibilities, available information and the outputs appropriate to the proposal.

  3. Confirm the next step

Confirm contacts, timing and commercial or research arrangements before proceeding.

Business cooperation

Connect US logistics capabilities with our established Guangzhou receiving and China–US shipping operations.

  1. Which US parcel, forwarding, warehouse or fulfilment capabilities would you connect with our China-side services?
  2. Which service responsibilities and handover points need to be agreed between the proposed partners?
  3. Which operating records, charging units and billing reconciliation steps should the discussion cover?

Possible discussion outputs: A proposed service scope, responsibility map, handover checklist and billing reconciliation approach.

Use this direction in the enquiry

Use the outline as optional working notes, then summarize the relevant points in the enquiry. Scope, access, charges and any publication arrangements are agreed for each project.

Example topic and working sheets

A defined cooperation trial

Prepare a trial around one handover or reconciliation question. Bring a representative operating file, agreed measurement rules and the evidence needed for the next decision. Scope, charges, facilities and any expansion are confirmed with the participants.

Questions about collaboration

Review how we discuss proposals, project scope and practical arrangements before submitting your collaboration enquiry.

Who can propose a collaboration?

We welcome US-based logistics companies, industry organizations, universities and research teams interested in China–US logistics. Proposals can build on our established operational experience through business cooperation, industry exchange, case discussions or applied research.

What should I prepare for a first conversation?

Introduce your organization and proposed participants, then outline your topic, objective, preferred format and timing. This helps us discuss how the proposal connects with our existing operations and define an initial scope together.

Prepare your collaboration enquiry
How are operational data, visits and publication arranged?

The availability and use of operational data, site access and publication arrangements are agreed for each project. Identify the information, access and intended outputs your proposal requires so these can be discussed when defining the scope.

How are project scope and fees agreed?

Your initial enquiry helps us understand the topic. We agree the advisory or collaboration scope, expected outputs, responsibilities, timing and any fees with the proposed participants before work begins.

Where can I request a shipping quote or help with an existing shipment?

Use our contact options for shipment pricing, service selection or support with an existing shipment. Include your shipment details or existing reference so your enquiry can be directed to the appropriate service.

What should a trial review contain?

State the question, eligible workload, measures, evidence references, open exceptions and proposed next step. Keep the charging basis with the operating scope. The review informs discussion; further work follows the agreement for the project.

Can we use different status terms in an exchange?

Yes. Retain each organization’s original term and compare its object level, physical meaning and supporting evidence. Agree a mapping for the discussion without treating it as an implemented system integration.

Does a selected stock count describe the whole warehouse?

Its result describes the stock and locations actually included. Record the selection method, count time, movements and unresolved differences. A broader inference requires a study design appropriate to the intended population.
