Prepare a US warehouse intake brief for FBA removal stock
Connect the Amazon removal reference to the actual warehouse receipt before approving another use for the goods.

An archived Amazon seller discussion asks how to move a small inventory lot to another seller through a receiving warehouse. The proposed sequence is a useful planning question; it does not establish that a particular buyer, product or account is eligible to resell the goods.
Amazon’s US removal guide describes returning goods to the seller or a designated recipient, including a third party storage provider. It also states that removal orders must not be used to send items to customers, as gifts or as promotional items. Confirm the applicable removal method and destination with the account owner.
Confirm the recipient before submitting the instruction
Obtain written receiving acceptance for the actual product, expected quantity and intended work. Confirm the recipient name, delivery contact, address and booking arrangements. Ask whether the recipient is prepared for the shipment format involved and what information it needs before arrival.
Check the destination against the current US removal rules in Seller Central. A general warehouse address on a website does not establish an accepted removal destination or a handling booking. If you are considering Jeton Express, confirm whether the team accepts that removal-stock project and obtain the actual receiving instruction first.
Create a reference for each receipt
Keep the removal order reference, seller SKU, available product identifiers, expected quantities and the account owner contact together. Preserve the inventory condition recorded in the removal request alongside the observations made at receiving.
Amazon’s guide notes that stock held in several fulfilment centres may arrive in separate shipments with separate tracking numbers. Build a receipt record for each arrival under the common removal reference. This allows the merchant to distinguish goods still expected from a discrepancy in a shipment already received.
| Record | What to retain |
|---|---|
| Removal instruction | Order reference, account contact and requested item quantities |
| Shipment | Available movement reference and expected contents |
| Observed receipt | Date, check depth, item identity, quantity and condition |
| Exception | Affected items, specific photographs and review owner |
| Release decision | Approved goods, permitted task and dated merchant instruction |
Keep observed condition separate from an approval to resell
Agree the inspection scope before goods arrive. An outer-carton count, a unit count and a product inspection establish different things. Record what was actually checked and keep goods with unresolved identity, condition or quantity questions outside the approved release list.
Use photographs tied to the affected item and arrival reference when documenting an exception. The account owner should review the relevant current Amazon process and any applicable claim window. Receiving evidence helps that review; it does not determine who pays for the discrepancy.
Authorise handling and ownership decisions explicitly
Before relabelling or dispatch, identify who owns the goods and who may instruct the warehouse. Keep any agreed sale documentation and buyer instruction with the stock reference. The merchant and buyer need to confirm product and selling-account eligibility separately from physical receipt.
Give the warehouse an item list, permitted work, approved label files where applicable and the person who can approve a change. If only some units are cleared, preserve the held balance and its reason. The slow-moving stock guide provides the wider disposition review; use this intake brief to keep the removal origin and receipt evidence connected.
Close the intake with a stock reconciliation
Compare the requested removal quantities, known shipment records, observed receipts and approved next actions. Explain any remainder using the available evidence rather than marking the entire removal received. Keep the dated difference and its review owner visible.
Prepare an onward movement only against the approved stock and agreed destination. Confirm packaging, transport scope and recipient acceptance for that new job. An Amazon removal instruction and a later warehouse dispatch should retain separate references.
